Dear John, As we strive to advance racial justice, end homelessness, and advocate for an equitable COVID-19 recovery in a hopeful new age of American democracy, NPH is gearing up for the fourth year of our successful Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP), a one-year paid internship to help recruit diverse young talent into the affordable housing development industry. BAHIP interns are students from Bay Area colleges and universities who have a passion for serving their diverse communities through increasing affordable housing opportunities. They are placed at host agencies – leading nonprofit affordable housing developers – for a one-year, paid internship to learn the basics of affordable housing real estate development. We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for nonprofit developers to become Host Agencies for our talented interns in the 2021-2022 program year. |
|
Modeled after the highly successful Rural West Internship Program of the California Coalition for Rural Housing (CCRH), BAHIP helps the affordable housing and community development field ensure that we reflect the diverse needs, views, and talents of our Bay Area communities. As a Host Agency, you will support this crucial mission while benefiting from the unique insights and contributions of our BAHIP interns. |
