Friend --

Over 200 times each month, a Palestinian home is raided by Israeli
security forces -- usually in the middle of the night as families are
sleeping.

The military law that governs Palestinians in the West Bank does not
require warrants. Often, soldiers enter homes, take photographs of the
dwelling and leave without providing an explanation to the traumatized
family.

Here in the United States, politicians quibble over the term “occupation”
and right-wing think tanks concoct elaborate explanations for why the term
does not apply to the situation in the West Bank. But for the Palestinians
who experience these invasions, it is not an abstract concept. It is a
daily lived reality which penetrates every facet of life -- even the
privacy of the home.

On Thursday, January 28, we invite you to join an interactive virtual
program on the practice of home invasions, featuring leading Israeli human
rights activists who’ve collected testimonies from Israeli soldiers and
Palestinian families. They’ll detail the pervasiveness of these raids, the
role they play in exerting control over Palestinians living under
occupation and the psychological toll on those impacted.
