For the first time in our country’s centuries-long history, the White
House science adviser has been elevated to a Cabinet-level position.

Regardless of who holds the Office of the Presidency and regardless of
their political party, we believe that every administration must continue
in this tradition.

We’re beyond pleased with the growing list of scientists, doctors,
healthcare and STEM professionals that the Biden-Harris administration is
naming to positions of great importance and influence.

After four years of science denial in the White House, our country is in
much better (and much more informed) hands.

But take one look at the leading voices in the Republican Party and their
Presidential hopefuls: Ted Cruz. Josh Hawley. Donald Trump. Donald Trump
Jr. Dan Crenshaw. Jim Jordan. Devin Nunes. Matt Gaetz.

We hope to never have a President as opposed to science as Donald Trump.
But the modern Republican Party has made the denial of science a pillar of
their political platform.
