Friend: Long before COVID-19, diseases such as measles, pneumonia, and cholera were devastating vulnerable communities around the world. Even though our teams vaccinate millions of people against diseases like these every year, an estimated 1.5 million more lack protection due to barriers related to cost, logistics, stigma, and now the impact of COVID-19.

In fact, a World Health Organization (WHO) survey found that over 64 vaccination campaigns in 45 countries were fully or partially postponed due to the pandemic. With new outbreaks an ever present threat, these gaps in preventive vaccination could have disastrous consequences.

Our vaccination work remains one of our top priorities in 2021. To ensure our teams have the necessary resources to distribute crucial vaccines where they’re needed most in 2021, we need 300 supporters to step up and make a generous gift before Wednesday at midnight so we can plan for the months ahead.
