It was a rocky start to 2021, there’s no way to deny it.
But, thankfully, we’ve entered a new era now, full of hope and promise for everyone in our nation. On his first day alone, President Biden announced bold executive action on the climate crisis.
John, a sustainable world is within grasp. Now we need you to channel your energy into all of the opportunities before us.
As we launch into an even more ambitious 2021, I'm writing to share Ceres' top priorities—because we'll need you at our side for every single one of them.
Together, with you and our partners across the nation and world, we must:

Scale corporate ambition to net zero by 2040

Accelerate Paris-aligned portfolios

Develop the business case for valuing water

Advocate for strong climate policies

Integrate climate risk into Federal and State financial regulatory systems
None of these victories will be easy, John.
Every single one hinges on your commitment to the Ceres approach, and your willingness to invest in a more just and sustainable future—one in which no one is disproportionately exposed to air pollution, water scarcity, or inequity.
As we embark on this new year, with all of its challenges and opportunities, it’s good to have you with us.
Together, we can accomplish so much good.
