In 1862, the Senate successfully convicted federal judge West Hughes Humphreys, and banned him for life from any federal office.
This trial took place a year after Humpreys had left office to fight for the Confederacy.
It doesn’t matter that Donald Trump is out of office. It takes a two-thirds vote to convict him, and then a majority vote to disqualify him forever.
If we don’t stop Zombie Trump, he can run again in 2024. We must reject him once and for all.
