An eventful week for our nation...

Sanford Bishop for Congress

Dear John,

This week has been eventful for Georgia and the United States. Here are three things you need to know:

  1. The world witnessed history as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris assumed their respective roles as President and Vice President. After four years of hate and division, we finally have leadership that will promote love and unity. I truly believe that the new administration will lead us out of this dark chapter in our history and into a new one where truth, diversity, and democracy are celebrated.
  2. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock have officially been sworn in as U.S. Senators representing Georgia. Our state finally has diverse leadership and officials who will fight for the interests of working class families. Senators Ossoff, Warnock and I will represent the voice of Georgians as we begin to rebuild our nation. Your continued support will be critical in the coming years.
  3. The House voted to impeach Donald Trump for a second time following the Capitol insurrection of January 6. This radical mob was encouraged by Trump in an attempt to overturn the results of the Presidential election and block the peaceful transition of power. His actions are a clear and present danger to the people of the United States. It is now up to the Senate to take action and protect our nation from further threats.

Thank you for your continued support. If you would like to support me as I represent Georgia, please consider becoming a donor. Visit my website for further updates on my office and how I’m fighting for you.

Sincerely,
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr.
