Friends,
You know this year’s Plastic Free Challenge is right around the corner, but did you also know we have two exciting events coming up to inspire and prepare you?
This Saturday join us at the Plastic Free Forum, a panel discussion featuring local leaders in the Plastic Free movement. We’ll be at the Great Falls Library from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Our panelists include
Delegate Elizabeth Guzman, 31st District, Virginia House of Delegates
Rini Saha, president and founder, GreenThinkerDC
Helene Shore, co-founder and co-chair, 350 Fairfax
Dan Simons, president, Farmers Restaurant Group
We are so excited about this conversation. You do not want to miss it. We'll also have representatives from numerous climate, environmental, and waste-related organizations on hand to answer your questions. Find details and RSVP here or on Facebook.
Then on Thursday join us for our October general meeting. Regular time (7:30 p.m.), regular place (Blueberry Hill Common House, Vienna). A few of our Plastic Free partners will share their successes from 2018 and plans for 2019 and will help us answer your questions about Plastic Free living. We also have updates on several campaigns, including Fossil Free Fairfax, our Drawdown Working Group, and Earth Friendly Fairfax. Find details and RSVP here or on Facebook.
Yours in Plastic Free solidarity!
Julie
