According to POLITICO, the Biden team is already scrambling to pick up the pieces of Trump's presidency after a rocky transition that was only the "tip of the iceberg."

Biden's staff noted that the Trump team blocked access to intelligence data on the COVID-19 vaccine distribution, empty vaccine reserves, and even the possibility that "suspected Russian operatives are still lurking inside federal computers, impacting virtually everything that Biden's team tries to do."

We knew that this would be a presidential transition like no other, and that as Joe Biden said in his inauguration, now will be a time to rebuild, together. And we know that's possible. Our commitment to that change is the reason that we have a new president, and a blue Congress.

But it appears we still have a lot of work to do. Biden's team has been shocked coming in, friend. Staffers have said that the "chaotic transition shielded them from understanding the full scope of the problems at various agencies, and that the state of the executive branch is far worse than they understood."

We can't allow Trump's egotistical whims to leave a stain on this administration and stymie Biden's agenda before it has a chance to truly take off.

Right now, we're doing everything we can to support progressive change in Washington and protect the fragile institutions that have kept our country afloat but have proven vulnerable to the GOP's relentless extremism.
