Dear John,
Bees and other pollinators -- the cornerstone of Kroger’s food supply -- are in
great peril, largely due to toxic pesticides. Send Kroger a postcard to save the bees!

Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators are dying at unprecedented rates.
Kroger, the largest traditional grocery chain in the country, could play a large
part in saving them.
It could commit to ending the use of pollinator-toxic pesticides in its food and
beverage supply chains. It could increase bee-friendly organic offerings. But
Kroger won’t step up unless it hears from concerned people like you,
John.
Urge Kroger to help save the bees in 2021. Sign your name, and Friends of the
Earth will send a postcard on your behalf. Help flood Kroger’s mail!

first step to protect pollinators by releasing a pollinator health policy -- but
it fell short. The policy did not include a firm, time-bound commitment to
eliminate bee-toxic pesticides and offer more bee- and people-friendly organic
food.
Kroger is not taking the pollinator crisis seriously enough, which is why we’re
ramping up the pressure. First, this month we put a billboard up right next to Kroger’s headquarters
demanding it take action.
Now, we are asking concerned activists like you to join thousands of others
across the country and demand Kroger do better by sending a postcard right to
the CEO. The best part is, Friends of the Earth will send the postcard on your
behalf at no cost to you! We will address it, add your signature, and mail it to
Kroger headquarters -- flooding its mail!
Take action: Tell Kroger you want it to stop selling food grown with toxic
pesticides.

[[link removed]]Bees pollinate 75% of our food crops, from almonds to tomatoes and everything in
between. Without pollinators, Kroger’s shelves would be pretty empty.
As the largest traditional grocery store, Kroger has the power to make our food
system healthier and safer for pollinators. But instead, it’s still selling
products produced with bee-killing neonics and bee-toxic, brain-damaging
chlorpyrifos.
Put the pressure on Kroger to get these poisons out of our food system and out
of our environment. Kroger won’t act unless it hears a wave of outrage from
people like you.
Send a postcard now: Tell Kroger to protect pollinators and our planet!
