Dear John,

We thought you might be interested in this compelling coverage from NBC News on the lawsuit we filed last week on behalf of separated mothers and children.

Your support = more impactful litigation = more media coverage = more accountability.

Please support this work.

Sincerely,

John,

Last summer, the Trump administration inflicted severe emotional trauma on families by forcibly separating them. Yesterday, we demanded accountability for the families. We filed a lawsuit on behalf of five mothers and their children, seeking compensation for their pain and suffering.

We need your partnership in order to do this work. Donate today so we can hold the government accountable.

These families’ stories are disturbing. When one mother refused to let her son go, an officer threatened to lock him up without her. Other mothers tried to soothe their sobbing children as officers grabbed them and pulled them away. Immigration officers mocked mothers as they begged and pleaded not to take their young children away. The children—one as young as 5 years old—were put on planes and flown thousands of miles from their mothers.

The Trump administration separated asylum-seeking families to send the message that they were not wanted here. Now we’re suing to send them a message: we will not tolerate outrageous and un-American government conduct

Join us in holding the government accountable for its cruel and inhumane practices
