Hi there,
For decades, Republicans have touted their racist agenda, and they've done everything possible to suppress the AAPI vote. Democrats need to make sure they're reaching out because when AAPIs turn out, Democrats win.
“AAPI turnout in the Peach State nearly doubled this year from 2016, a rate of growth faster than Black, white, or Latino voters in the state. According to exit polls, nearly seven out of 10 of those voters cast their ballots for the Biden-Harris ticket,” per TIME.
“In Georgia, where they comprise about 3% of the electorate, voter organizations and advocacy groups worked tirelessly to mobilize AAPI voters, who say they've been ignored by politicians and parties for years.”
We can't stop organizing in AAPI communities just because the election is over. According to AAPI Data's 2020 Asian American voter survey, 50% of respondents said they were “not at all contacted” by the Democratic Party in the past year. And there are over 1.3 million Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander eligible voters in the U.S., many of whom also have not been contacted by Democratic campaigns.
We're formulating our plans for months ahead, and we need you to let us know:
Do Democrats need to keep organizing in AAPI communities?
