Scientists are raising a flag. Per the Washington Post, “the world is witnessing a vivid and unnerving demonstration of Darwinian natural selection. The virus potentially could evolve its way around natural human immunity or escape the immune response elicited by vaccines. That has the CDC and the scientific community on high alert.”
This country's team of medical professionals, microbiologists, epidemiologists, and everyone fighting this fight will WIN, despite this new challenge.
But while we can't do much with a beaker, we can make some change in Washington. And we don't need to be fighting the virus fight on TWO fronts -- but that's what's happening. Because, according to the Post, “Biden also is inheriting a delayed and disjointed vaccine rollout, the result of poor coordination between the federal government and the 50 states.”
Removing the obstacles Trump gave Biden before leaving won't be easy, though, and we need to be able to have the backs of politicians who are bold and progressive enough to tackle them head on.
