I was also named to two crucial subcommittees on the Energy and Commerce Committee where I will be able to push back against the most radical policies of the Biden Administration.

PRESIDENT BIDEN IS THROWING AWAY THE AMERICA FIRST AGENDA. I’M FIGHTING BACK.

Rejoining the Paris climate accord. Canceling the Keystone XL permit. Defunding the border wall.

These are the top priorities of the Biden Administration on day one. The America First agenda is gone.

President Biden seems to be putting the demands of the radical left over the priorities of regular Americans.

Rejoining the Paris climate accord will give a free pass to polluters like China, while punishing American businesses and our energy independence. Canceling the Keystone XL permit will cost thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for Texas alone. Defunding the border wall would reverse President Trump’s success in curtailing illegal immigration to historic lows.

That’s why I’m pushing back strongly against President Biden’s early actions that show zero acknowledgement of the fact that the vast majority of Americans do not support these dangerous policies.

MY SELECTION TO THE HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT SUBCOMMITTEES ON ENERGY AND COMMERCE

The biggest policy debates during the Biden Administration will take place on the Energy and Commerce Committee. And the biggest fights on the Energy and Commerce Committee will take place on the Health and Environment and Climate Change Subcommittees.

That’s why I am excited to announce that I have been selected to serve on BOTH subcommittees during this Congress.

Providing access to affordable, personalized health care that puts you - not the government - in the driver seat while protecting American medical innovation has been a top priority for me in Congress. So has providing common sense, innovative solutions to reduce emissions without destroying Texas energy jobs.

Serving on these subcommittees will allow me to work toward these priorities while also pushing back against the most radical proposals from the Biden Administration to pursue Medicare for All and the Green New Deal.

I’ve already started fighting back (click here or on the image above to read more) and I’m just getting started.

Touring the LBJ COVID Vaccine Clinic in Houston this week

VACCINE PROGRESS IN HOUSTON

Getting the vaccine out as quickly as possible to as many Texans as possible is the best strategy to reopen our economy and get back to normal.

The Trump Administration - not the Biden Administration - launched an unprecedented effort to get a COVID-19 vaccine in less than a year. Operation Warp Speed put us on a solid footing to get this pandemic under control. But there’s still a long way to go.

This week, I toured the LBJ COVID Vaccine Clinic in Houston to get a first-hand look at the efforts to vaccinate our community. Thanks to the hardworking people at the clinic for your tireless efforts to keep our community safe and healthy during this pandemic and get us back to normal as quickly as possible.
