“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”
— ERA, 1972
|
Team, in 1972 Congress approved the Equal Rights Amendment and sent it to the states, but nearly 50 years later it still hasn’t been ratified.
Now we have hope: a bipartisan, bicameral group of legislators has signed on in support of the ERA, and we’re ready to make another big push toward equality.
We’re proud to support the ERA — will you join us and add your name, endorsing this key legislation?
Gender equality is still a big issue in our country. The pay gap affects our families, harassment in the workplace still happens daily, and too many women are treated like second-class citizens.
But the ERA will change how women are seen and treated in our country — and with our first woman Vice President in office, there’s never been a better time to take action.
So will you add your name? Together, we can finally get the ERA ratified:
Let's make herstory.
