John, did you see
this headline from earlier this month?

The US economy lost 140,000 jobs in December. All of them were held by women.

All. Of. Them. Were. Held. By. Women.

And beyond this headline, the article details that women of color were
disproportionately affected by these job cuts.

John, this is not
acceptable—and we cannot let this issue fall under the radar.
Female-dominated industries have been hit the hardest by this pandemic,
and many women have also been forced to make difficult trade-offs between
work and parenting.

As the only single working mom in Congress, Katie is paying close
attention to these numbers and is fighting for ways women can re-enter the
workforce and sustain their jobs.

Have you or your family been affected by lack of affordable childcare,
inflexible paid leave policy, or school and daycare closures? Katie would
appreciate hearing your story,
John.

[ [link removed] ]In order to put an end to this disproportionate crisis, it's important
that we share how pervasive these underlying issues are, and how many
families it affects. Please share your story here.

Thank you for everything you do,

The Katie Porter Team
