John,
Already, CHN and our coalition partners have sent 45,000 letters demanding Congress act on the next, critical round of COVID relief.
That’s a great start, but each day that passes, more people become infected with the coronavirus, lose their jobs and income, and thousands die. We need immediate action on the dual threats of the pandemic-caused recession and the COVID-19 public health emergency.
With hundreds of thousands dying from COVID-19 and millions struggling to make ends meet, we need to move quickly.
Help power our efforts to demand Congress act immediately. Donate $5 today to help us generate another 45,000 letters to Congress over the next week!

President Biden's $1.9 trillion comprehensive COVID relief proposal, titled the "American Rescue Plan," includes desperately needed improvements to the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, a $15 minimum wage, $1,400 cash payments to individuals, state and local aid, continued unemployment assistance, food and housing aid, paid leave, and the funding and plan to distribute vaccines and treatment. And more, all essential provisions to pull us out of the disaster we’re in.
According to a new Columbia University report, the pandemic relief package proposed by the Biden administration would cut child poverty in half in the first year alone. Make no mistake: this kind of poverty reduction will help millions of children and their families to withstand the ravages of the pandemic.
People and families throughout our country cannot wait for relief. Donate $5 to CHN today to demand Congress act and provide a lifeline to millions of people and communities to survive the pandemic.
If you haven’t yet sent letters to Congress to press for the American Rescue Plan, please just click here. And many thanks for all you do to demand accountability from our political leaders and to fight for the needs of the vulnerable, the sick and the poor.
