John,
This week, we celebrated President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s monumental inauguration. After four years of bigotry, racism, and hatred from the White House — we can start writing the next chapter in our politics.
Now, the hard work begins to bring our progressive, anti-racist agenda to life. There is no time to waste to make sure Congress and the White House work together to pass the critical legislation our communities need to overcome the crises we currently face. We need transformative change in the form of $2,000 stimulus checks, Medicare for All, and meaningful action to stop the rise of white supremacy in our country.
These are the fights I will be focused on. I will not rest until Congress and Biden’s administration enacts the transformative change our country needs. If you want to support this work, can you donate $5 or anything you can to fund this fight to pass a slate of people-first legislation these next years?

Our communities are in deep pain, as millions of us are mourning the loss of loved ones from this surging pandemic. There is a record level of working parents on the edge of being evicted from their homes. There are young people burdened by crippling student debt. There are uninsured folks who can’t access health care in the wealthiest nation on earth. And so many of us who are Black and brown live in fear of the people who are supposed to protect us.
I understand the urgency of these issues because I’ve lived through them, John. These are the stories I carry with me in the People’s House. It’s why I’m committed to this fight and why I won’t stop fighting until we deliver real change to everyday people across the country.
I’m filled with hope that we have a Democratic majority in the Congress and White House to work with — but I know that realistically the path ahead of us won’t be easy. We must remember that for decades, politics in Washington have been dominated by “incremental” change. There are still many who favor this way of doing politics, and we need to organize in unprecedented ways to continue building momentum for real change.
It’s going to take all of us working together to create this powerful grassroots movement. Will you make a contribution right now to help us start off strong under Biden’s administration fighting for a progressive, anti-racist agenda?
In solidarity,
Cori
