Dear LIRS Supporter,

Six-year-old Sabina’s family fled Honduras, where violent gangs threatened anyone different. Sadly, that included little Sabina, who has Down Syndrome. When the family reached the southern border, Sabina’s father carried her across and was apprehended by ICE.

The little girl was taken from his arms. In the meantime, her terrified mother had no idea where she was or how to get to her.

Because of children like Sabina who need help reuniting with their families, we’ve created the LIRS Welcome Fund to help rebuild our vital network of support. Because frankly, during the last four years, our partner organizations have taken a beating.
CHILDREN LIKE SABINA NEED YOU
GIVE TO THE LIRS WELCOME FUND
We must work to ensure every family seeking safety and a better life can get the help they need. Will you help us by giving to the LIRS Welcome Fund today?

When Sabina’s mother arrived at the office of an LIRS partner, she was frantic, shaking with fear, and worried about her daughter’s well-being. LIRS’ partner worked tirelessly to connect the mother with her child. And, thanks to LIRS donors like you, Sabina was once again safe with her family.
SUPPORT THE LIRS WELCOME FUND TODAY
It was a joyful time when Sabina was finally reunited with her family. And now, she’s eight and thriving. And that’s because people like you held tight to your values and welcomed the stranger — even during the most trying times.

After years of hostility against refugees and immigrants, America is once again poised to be a leader in welcoming those seeking refuge. But we need your help to make that change. Please help children and families seeking safety, freedom, and a better life by making a generous gift to the LIRS Welcome Fund today.

Thank you for your compassion and willingness to help those in need. God bless you!

Sincerely,

Andrew G. Steele
