Here are the facts, folks:

The American public voted to put Democrats in control of the U.S. Senate and the White House. Plain and simple, it’s that straightforward.

But in a last-minute power grab, Mitch McConnell is blocking us from even beginning to get to work. In a blatantly partisan move, he’s taking the unprecedented step of refusing to agree to common procedural rules to govern the next Senate.

The bottom line is this — Chuck Schumer is the majority leader and he should be treated like the majority leader. We can work together to get sh*t and stuff done around here and we ought to be focused on doing just that.

Instead, McConnell wants to stop us from getting to work and effectively ignore the election results.

Americans voted in overwhelming numbers to take the Senate gavel out of McConnell’s hands. The American people want us to make progress on the issues that matter, not play partisan games in Washington, D.C.

Enough is enough. Sign my petition to demand Mitch McConnell end his obstructive blockage so we can move on and get back to work for the American people.

This is a desperate attempt from Mitch McConnell to hold onto any remaining power he has. The election is over. Republicans lost. Now let’s move on and get stuff done for the American people.

Thanks,
