Last week after I received Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s endorsement, Dan Lipinski put out a statement railing against the both of us. Now, some folks in the D.C. establishment are rallying around him.

Look, I get it. The DCCC exists to elect Democrats to the House -- and a big part of that is supporting their incumbents.

But it’s pretty baffling to me that Democrats would go out of their way to support someone who has been anti-Obamacare, anti-choice, anti-LGBTQ equality, and anti-Dreamer. Democrats I know -- and the voters in IL-03 -- don’t share those conservative values.

When we talk about the establishment coming to his rescue, we’re not just talking about words of support. We’re talking about deliberate efforts to prevent people from working on our campaign. Intimidation tactics are all too familiar around here, and we know we’re going to be up against them every step of the way.

At the end of this month, we’re filing our campaign’s second FEC report, and I want it to show everyone that we have what it takes to take on the establishment and win. So I’m asking directly: Will you chip in before our quarterly fundraising deadline to show the D.C. insiders that we’re not backing down?

That’s who Dan represents -- not Democratic values and certainly not the values of Illinois’ Third District.
