That's freshman GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene -- best known as one of the new QAnon-believing congresswomen.
Not only does Marjorie believe in this ridiculous, absurd, and dangerous conspiracy theory: She's also known for posting hours-long videos on Facebook where she voiced endless racist, Islamophobic, and anti-Semitic views. On her first day on the job, she refused to comply with House rules and wear a face mask to protect against the spread of coronavirus -- leading to a screaming match on the House floor.
And her lies about the November presidential election helped stoke a violent insurrection in Congress.
It should be obvious to anyone that Marjorie is uniquely unqualified to serve in the House of Representatives. She's dangerous, and we've known that for a while.
But we weren't expecting the 25th district's own Mike Garcia to join the fringe right-wing of his party so early on in his tenure. As the House debated impeachment of Donald Trump over the January 6th insurrection, the two could be seen seated next to each other and chatting.
Mike Garcia has proven over the last few weeks that he will put fringe partisanship over our country, over our district, and over the needs of our district. Instead of working to alleviate damage from the coronavirus pandemic, he is supporting outlandish ideas about election fraud.
He's not fit to be our representative, and we must limit him to one term.
