new term starting in Congress, I'm honored to have been
re-appointed to the House Homeland Security Committee.
As a former prosecutor and the son and brother of law
enforcement officers, I'm excited to delve into one of America's
greatest national security threats: white nationalist extremism.
White nationalism was empowered and reenergized during Trump's
presidency. Just this month, a mob heavy with white nationalist
extremists took matters into their own hands with an act of
domestic terrorism at our nation's Capitol.
Just because Trump has left office does not mean this threat
has gone away, and I'll fight like hell to root it out at its
core. Work like this is never easy -- will you consider chipping

This is an issue I've seen not just in Washington, DC, but
here at home too. White nationalist extremists murdered a
security officer and a sheriff's deputy near my district last
year.
As we pick up the pieces from the Trump era, it starts with
rooting out the ugly threat of white nationalism in our country.
I'm taking a renewed sense of patriotism to my work on the
Homeland Security Committee -- Will you join me in the fight to
defeat white nationalism?
