John,
Every winter, dogs are left outside to freeze — and these animals need you to fight for them now.
You may remember Zoe, a German Shepherd from New York, who was left chained outside in the blistering winter cold by her trusted guardian. She had no food, no water, and only a plastic crate for shelter. Emaciated and distressed, Zoe chewed off her leg.
And she is not the only victim of such cruelty.
Each winter, we’re contacted about cases throughout the country about animals like Zoe who are suffering out in the cold. Many of them are found only after it’s too late — and they’d already frozen to death. We must be able to respond to calls for help to bring animal abusers to justice and prevent future acts of cruelty.
John, that’s why I’m reaching out. Your emergency contribution right now will help ensure that when animals like Zoe are left to die in the freezing cold, the Animal Legal Defense Fund will be there — fighting to bring their abusers to justice. |

Thankfully Zoe’s story has a happy ending. Zoe was rescued, received the care she urgently needed, and found a new family who would never leave her to fend for herself in the freezing cold — and charges were brought against her abuser for his animal cruelty crime. But so many other animals aren’t so fortunate. Winter is a deadly time for many animals, which means this is a critical time to contribute lifesaving funds.
We still need your help to reach our goal of 250 animal advocates pledging their support by January 31. Will you help us fight for justice for animals who are neglected and abused — and prevent others from being left to suffer or die in the cold? Together, I know we can protect innocent animals this winter and hold animal abusers accountable for their crimes. |
For the animals,
