Hi John,

This Sunday will be my final day as Chair of the Maine Democratic Party.

I am incredibly grateful for the trust placed in me to serve as Chair, and I wouldn’t trade my time leading the Maine Dems for anything. Over the last two years, we built the largest grassroots operations we’ve ever had. We made hundreds of thousands of phone calls, knocked doors, and talked to our friends and families about what a better future for our state would look like. And even though we came up short in the Senate race, we’ve built a solid foundation to make progress for years to come and I’m proud of what we achieved together.

 

 

Together, we delivered Maine for President Joe Biden, re-elected Congresswoman Chellie Pingree and Congressman Jared Golden, held our majorities in the Maine House and Senate, and won many important municipal elections. But the work of the Maine Dems won’t end anytime soon. A new Chair and Vice Chair will be elected this Sunday, and they will need to hit the ground running with a special election for a State Senate seat in several weeks, local elections throughout the year, as well as midterm elections and a vital Governor’s race in 2022.

You have always had my back during my time as chair, I’m hoping you’ll let me make one last ask of you. Will you donate $20.22 to help lay the groundwork for our next Chair and Vice Chair?

It’s been an honor to serve as chair, and I want to thank my staff, our county and municipal chairs, Vice Chair Erik Gundersen, and the hundreds of volunteers who made this the best job in the world.
