President Biden didn’t waste any time getting to work yesterday on radically
changing the direction that America is headed in.

 

Just hours into his presidency, he put his signature on 17 different executive
orders, including one that ended the crucial Keystone XL Pipeline permit. 

 

It’s a crushing blow for Wisconsin's economy, but even worse, it’s a crushing
blow for the thousands of workers, families, and businesses across the Midwest
and the Great Plains that have relied on the pipeline as a source of income for
years.

 

With the stroke of a pen, over 11,000 jobs and over $2 billion in wages have
disappeared overnight. In Wisconsin that means thousands of good-paying jobs on
the chopping block.

 

John, this move isn’t just a step back for our country –– it’s a step forward
for our adversaries around the globe who want nothing more than to see us fully
dependent on their economies for all our energy needs.

 

That’s why Mike joined Republican leaders last night to urge President Biden

Completing the pipeline would be a win for Americans on both sides of the

Keystone XL has promised to invest over $10 billion into training workers and
innovating technologies so that down the road it can become the first pipeline
in the world to be fully powered by renewable energy –– all while keeping
prices low at the gas pump.
