Kudos to Speaker Pelosi for finally agreeing to a formal impeachment inquiry, upholding her duty to the people and their expressed will. We need to hold all leaders accountable.
Despite the good news, we must remember getting rid of Trump won’t solve everything. He is the expression of a long-seeded systemic problems, and removing him still maintains the old system—which Pelosi is very much a part of.
Pelosi has shown time and time again she believes corporate money is the key to winning elections. The drug pricing legislation she champions as proof her “hold the center” strategy can produce results, is really about mediating between corporate interests ([link removed]) . The Nine Democrats Pelosi appointed to the House Climate Panel accepted over $200K ([link removed]) in donations from fossil fuel companies—a point she acknowledges yet refuses to correct ([link removed]) .

Fundraising is not leadership.
