You can't pour from an empty cup.

We've had quite a year. Today marks the anniversary of the first article
we posted on The OP about the mysterious virus that was shutting down a
big city in China. The year following has been madness, with government
mandates that destroyed our economy and kept people basically locked in
their homes.

It's been high-stress for just about everyone. And if you are the person
in charge of your family's preparedness, you are probably enforcing your
own rules, managing the budget, and keeping abreast of current events.
This puts you - and your mental health - in the crosshairs of the
stress.

In today's article, not only did Toby make up an awesome new word -
"preppertoire" - but he asks, how are YOU, really? If you are giving
constantly and not taking care of yourself, you're going to run out of
steam. Check out his very important article on self-care.

I know that neglecting this is something I've done, especially since
it's my job to be buried in the news during working hours. I'm working
on getting better about taking some mental health time during the day.

Have you been pouring from an empty cup?

When was the last time you refilled? What are some ways you do this for
yourself? Do you have a favorite place or activity that fills your cup?
Please give us some of your ideas and suggestions in the comments below.
We would love to know.
