Hey John, as always, we hope you’re taking care of yourself. Sending love your way. 💕
It’s been a long four years to get to this point, and while we *finally* have a bit of hope, we know things won’t magically change overnight. No singular politician can dismantle the foundations of injustice this country was built on. It’s only the power of us, the people as a collective, that can dismantle that foundation and create one built with community in mind.
This is the first time that March For Our Lives has existsed outside of the Tr*mp administration, and we have the opportunity for some real progress. But it will take every single one of us to get it done. Can you chip in a few dollars to help us keep the people we elected accountable to us? [[link removed]]

This new administration has the potential to pass legislation that will bring much-needed change. Funding for evidence-based violence prevention programming, earmarking CDC research budgets, universal background checks, closing the boyfriend loophole, addressing domestic abuse, and recognizing police violence as gun violence are all within our reach. A government that works for even the most vulnerable communities and has our future at the core of its policy decisions is possible, but it’ll take all of us to keep up the momentum. Will you help us continue this fight? Chip in $5, or whatever you can, here. [[link removed]]
March For Our Lives is entering a new era too -- we have new staff, we’re committed to restorative justice, we’re learning more about how gun violence intersects with other aspects of our identity, and we’re growing as a movement. Now is the time to keep up the pressure and stay involved.
Finally, we want to take some time and give a MASSIVE shoutout to every single organizer who worked on the Georgia election, especially our MFOL Georgia team and the Black women who have been organizing in that state for a long, long time. Any big victories ahead of us are only made possible because of their work. During the Georgia Runoff election, MFOL GA organizers made:
*
74,588
calls
*
17,519
texts
*
14,852
door
knocks
and
lit
drops
Yes, you read those numbers right!! These impressive stats are possible thanks to your donations. 🧡 If this is truly a time of change, a new chapter in our nation’s history, then we demand more than regressive policies & tactics that bring us further from dismantling systems of injustice. We're ready to hold President Biden accountable and excited to push him even further than the promises he's made so far. Now that we have a real opportunity in front of us, it’s time to hold ourselves accountable, too. Let’s supercharge this movement. Can you chip in $5 to help us keep newly elected leaders in check? We no longer live in a country with an NRA puppet president. That’s thanks to your hard work. Now, let’s keep it up!
Thanks for all your support,
