A Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that just about 90% of Americans don't think COVID is under control.

We're just glad to hear 90% of Americans realize that COVID continues to be an enormous problem despite the right-wing misinformation machine churning a mile a minute with fake facts about masks, conspiracies, and plandemics.

A new, more science-based administration is already governing with that truth in mind.

But we need to make up for lost time and lost lives in a big way. We can't wait on vaccines, politicians, or changing of the seasons to solve this for us.

We need to spread scientific knowledge, support our public health officials in our government, and all do our part to socially distance until this is over -- really and TRULY over, with a shot in every arm and a safe hug freely available for anyone who wants one.

Unsurprisingly, per the Washington Post, "Democrats are more than twice as likely as those identifying with the GOP to say they perceive the virus as not at all under control."

This never should have been a political issue. The GOP made it into one.
