Friend --

We flipped the Senate on the same day insurrectionists rioted at the Capitol --
and we didn’t have the opportunity to celebrate this momentous moment like we
should have.

Since then it’s clearer than ever why our new senators matter so much to the
future of this country and our commitment to build back better, and I’d love to
tell you more about them.

But before I do, I’m asking for an investment in their future and the future of
the Senate: Will you split a donation between Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, Alex
Padilla, and myself? Donate $5 or more right now to invest in a Senate that represents the American people and a promise to make progress for them every single day. Let me tell you a bit about the new faces joining us in the Senate:

After growing up poor in the Savannah projects, Rev. Raphael Warnockcomes to Washington as the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Dr.
Martin Luther King preached. As of yesterday’s swearing in, he is Georgia’s
first Black senator.

Jon Ossoffis now the youngest senator since Joe Biden -- and the youngest senator
currently serving in the Senate. He is proof you never give up when democracy is
on the line, because a loss in 2017 only fueled his passion to flip the balance
of power back to everyday Georgians.

California’s population is nearly 40% Latino, but Alex Padillawill be the first Latino senator to serve California. He’s filling the seat left
open by our new Vice President Kamala Harris, and he has his own inspiring life
story beginning with immigration activism at age 16. He’s committed to finally
creating a pathway to citizenship for all undocumented immigrants, and I look
forward to working alongside him to do just that.

Each one of these new senators brings fresh ideas and perspectives to the Senate
-- ones much needed now that we begin the rebuilding and healing process. When
we make progress for the American people I know that each and every one will be
by my side to make it -- but both Alex Padilla and Raphael Warnock face
elections in just two years.

If we want to invest in the future of the Senate that tells real stories from across the country, we need to invest in senators like Alex Padilla, Jon Ossoff, and Rev. Raphael Warnock. Donate $5 or more right now to fund the fight ahead. [link removed]

Sincerely,

Chuck Schumer
