This year marks the 48th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark Roe v. Wade decision. And at just two days after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office, we have good reasons to celebrate. But we also know that women’s right to safe and legal abortion is still in great danger. That’s why I’m asking for your help.

Despite last year’s victories, we face an uphill battle to reverse the immense damage inflicted on reproductive freedom.
For decades, Roe v. Wade has been under assault from federal policies like the Hyde Amendment that denies insurance coverage of abortion care for millions of women, to states that have enacted more than 460 laws to push abortion care out of reach—ranging from bans on abortion early in pregnancy to laws aimed at shutting down clinics, which in turn forces women to travel long distances to obtain care.
Defeating Trump and electing a progressive new administration—including our nation’s first woman of color as vice president—shows what we can accomplish with the commitment, energy, and generosity of feminists like you.
Today, in honor of the Roe anniversary to help NOW seize these historic opportunities to expand reproductive justice and protect access to essential health services.
