Dear Friend,
Today is a historic day: the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) has officially entered into force. This means that nuclear weapons are now illegal in all the countries that sign the treaty.
You can find out more about the TPNW by watching our video above.

Shamefully, the UK government refused to even participate in the treaty talks. But that won't stop us from celebrating this achievement. This treaty is a victory for all peace loving people and the courageous states that have stood up globally to demand nuclear abolition. And it is a victory for grassroots campaigning and the anti-nuclear movement which has done so much to support the process.

Now we need others to join with us for the next campaign push - getting Britain to sign. Will you help?

Join CND as a member and together we can work towards our next achievement: getting Britain to sign the TPNW and scrap Trident. Your support would make such a difference to our movement.
In peace,
