John,
This is what happens when people decide that enough is enough, and send working-class champions to Congress:
Yesterday, AOC introduced her plan for a Just Society in America — a comprehensive series of bills that will tackle poverty, fight for housing justice, protect immigrants, and much more. It’s our first step towards reversing the decades of damage that Republicans since Ronald Reagan have inflicted on the working-class.
Here’s why your donation is so important: right now, Justice Democrats leaders and team members are traveling around the country to recruit and support potential progressive candidates for Congress.
It’s not an easy process. We’re not like the DCCC, where the only qualification for their support is whether you can raise enough money to impress PACs and wealthy donors. For us, there’s a thorough vetting process to make sure that people are progressive to their core — that they have lived their values — before we can put the JD seal next to their name.
So unlike many other Democratic organizations, our leaders aren’t spending their time at fancy fundraising, speaking to wealthy donors, and schmoozing their way into funding. We spend our time proving our value to people just like you in order to keep this whole thing going.
Electing progressives over corporate incumbents isn’t an easy fight. We’re up against powerful special interests that have no qualms about doing everything they can to get people in power who’ll do their bidding.
It’s not an easy fight, but it’s a necessary one. And we’re glad to know that you’re on our side.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
