Good afternoon, John.
What a good day it is!
The journey to yesterday was a long one, and for many people, it began four years ago when millions around the country and world marched.
Adam and I marched with our daughters, and the joy, resilience, humor, and peaceful beauty I saw on the streets of Washington, DC in 2017 gave me confidence in what an engaged, determined, and hopeful people could achieve.
Over four years, we saw marchers become engaged citizens, volunteers, advocates, candidates, and yes, elected public servants. And day by day and year by year, we made progress to get to yesterday.
It was a beautiful day to start a new chapter of hard work – the hard work we will do together as we remain committed to realizing our nation’s promise of a more perfect union.
As I head back to the U.S. Capitol, I am reflecting on my memories of hope from that day and a sweet story that continues to bring me a smile. I hope it does the same for you.

I am honored to continue to serve the people of VA-07 and couldn’t do it without the support of people like you. If you are able, please consider an early contribution to our campaign.
With appreciation,
Abigail
