Team,
This is the first dispatch of the New Year, and there’s already so much to cover.
First and foremost -- I hope you and your families had a safe holiday season, and I wish you all nothing but blessings in 2021.
While 2021 is a new year filled with hopes and possibilities, we can only achieve these things if we work together to overcome the coronavirus pandemic.
We cannot go on as normal as long as the coronavirus remains a threat to our communities -- and in recent weeks, the pandemic has reached all-time high rates of infections and fatalities.
Friends, we’ve got to do better. Not just for ourselves, but for our family and friends. For our neighbors, near and far. We need to do better as Americans, for our fellow Americans.
This week, the new administration was sworn into office. And I’m prepared to hit the ground running and pass COVID-19 legislation -- both sending Americans $2,000 survival checks and ensuring state and local relief for our communities and small businesses. This is something that needed to be done yesterday.
As always, I’m here for you and will continue to fight for you as I take on my second term in Congress.
Remember to social distance, grab your hand sanitizer, and wear a mask whenever you leave the house.
With love,
Antonio
