Plus, the left's pretend patriotism and more riots.

What Unity?
Every inaugural address is filled with soaring rhetoric and phrases. Some are certainly more lasting than others.
Yesterday, if you believe the media ([link removed]) , Joe Biden delivered "one of the best inaugural addresses ever." But there were two things in his remarks yesterday that stood out to me and that I want to address here.
Biden spoke a lot about unity and insisted that he will be "the president of all the people," even those who didn't vote for him. While that's technically true, what does he really mean by that? As the old adage goes, actions speak louder than words.
The unity Biden kept talking about lasted only as long as his speech. As soon as he entered the Oval Office, he promptly signed more than a dozen executive orders and every one was a finger in the eye of conservatives.
Biden will operationally be the president of those who elected him. He will be the president of abortion on demand, and he will demand that all Americans, including you, subsidize it.
Biden will operationally be the president of those who support open borders, illegal immigration ([link removed]) and sanctuary cities, as well as those who want to choose alternative pronouns ([link removed]) for themselves.
He is allowing immigration from countries that are known hotbeds of terrorism ([link removed]) , countries like Iran, Sudan, Syria and North Korea. That's insane.
He abolished President Trump's 1776 Commission ([link removed]) because it was trying to teach young Americans that their country isn't evil. That speaks volumes.
Where is the comfort in telling people that he is going to be the president of those who didn't vote for him when he has devoted his presidency to relentlessly attacking their values?
It would be one thing for a genuine moderate to make such a statement while actually pursuing common ground. Biden isn't doing that. He is pushing a radical agenda, and his statement is more like rubbing salt into a wound. It's for appearances only. (More on that below.)
Whose Truth?
Biden also spoke yesterday about truth and lies. But exactly when did this well-known plagiarist ([link removed]) develop such an appreciation for truth?
Was it when he and Obama concocted the lie about Russian collusion? The left used that lie to undermine all four years of Trump's presidency.
Was it when he and Obama, just before Trump's inauguration, tried to entrap General Flynn ([link removed]) with a law that had never been enforced before?
Biden organized his entire campaign around a lie ([link removed]) . He repeatedly said that Donald Trump called neo-Nazis and white supremacists "very fine people," when the president actually condemned them.
By the way, this is actually evidence that we are a decent country. The worst thing you can say about someone in America is that they are a racist. And that is why the left chooses to smear conservatives generally and Donald Trump non-stop with such outrageous lies.
But even after liberal media outlets factchecked it ([link removed]) and determined that Biden was lying, he still kept lying. It was a major theme ([link removed]) of his campaign, and he repeated it even though he knew it would stoke racial tensions.
Yet I am constantly hearing commentators on Fox News talk about what a "nice guy" Joe Biden is. No he isn't! Just ask the families of Robert Bork ([link removed]) and Clarence Thomas ([link removed]) what a "nice guy" Joe Biden is.
Meanwhile, Biden and the left have a lot of tolerance for certain lies, like the lie that life doesn't begin at conception. Science tells us it does, but the left keeps lying about abortion.
How about the lie that a man can be a woman or that a woman can be a man? DNA doesn't lie.
Sadly, the biggest lie of recent days is the oft-repeated claim that Joe Biden wants to unify the country and bring us all together. His executive orders and radical policies prove otherwise.
Pretend Patriotism
While we're on the subject of lies and deceit, the establishment left has a problem with pretend patriotism. It desperately wants the trapping of patriotism.
We saw it yesterday when the National Mall was covered in American flags ([link removed]) . They know how strong the emotional appeal of patriotism is for many Americans. But they despise actual patriots.
When Donald Trump said, "Make America Great Again," it resonated with patriots. That's what any patriot wants. But it drove the left insane ([link removed]) . They're not for "America First." They're all about globalism.
That's why one of Biden's first moves was to put us back into the absurd international Paris climate agreement ([link removed]) , which will hurt working-class Americans for a global goal, while enemies like communist China get a pass.
Biden also rewarded the World Health Organization ([link removed]) , which covered for communist China and lied to the world ([link removed]) about COVID-19.
Real patriots would not send billions of dollars to Iran, a declared enemy of the United States, or send the Iranian nuclear deal to the U.N. ([link removed]) instead of the U.S. Senate for ratification.
"Moral Evils"
Archbishop Jose Gomez, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, issued a lengthy statement yesterday regarding the election of the first Catholic president in 60 years. It was not a celebratory note of congratulations.
While expressing hope that he and the president might find some areas of agreement, Gomez also warned against the radical policies of Biden's administration and the dangers they pose to religious liberty. Here are some excerpts of his statement ([link removed]) :
"I must point out that our new President has pledged to pursue certain policies that would advance moral evils and threaten human life and dignity, most seriously in the areas of abortion, contraception, marriage, and gender. Of deep concern is the liberty of the Church and the freedom of believers to live according to their consciences. . .
"For the nation's bishops, the continued injustice of abortion remains the 'preeminent priority.' . . . we cannot stay silent when nearly a million unborn lives are being cast aside in our country year after year through abortion. Abortion is a direct attack on life that also wounds the woman and undermines the family. . .
"My hope, too, is that we can work together to finally put in place a coherent family policy in this country, one that acknowledges the crucial importance of strong marriages and parenting to the well-being of children and the stability of communities."
More Riots
While Joe Biden is busy preaching unity, one group clearly isn't listening – Antifa. The black bloc demonstrators rioted again last night in the streets of Portland ([link removed]) and Seattle ([link removed]) .
This time they carried banners that read, "We Don't Want Biden. We Want Revenge." They also attacked the Portland Democrat Party headquarters, spray painting "F—k Biden" on the walls.
President Biden and members of his administration are vowing to crack down on domestic extremism. If they were serious, they would start by cracking down on Antifa.
Unfortunately, they are more worried about members of our military ([link removed]) , which means we will be seeing routine Pentagon lectures on critical race theory and white privilege.
