John,
Ben was just 13 years old when his parents kicked him out …
Trying to survive on the street, he landed in a motel — forced to trade sex for a place to live.
But by God’s grace, he was helped … and came to a safe house operated by our community and faith-based partner group, the U.S. Institute Against Human Trafficking.
Today, for the first time in his life, he feels safe. He’s learning to trust — and learning how to be loved appropriately.
Your support for Shared Hope is making it possible!
“Speak up,” Proverbs 31:8-9 says, “for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the oppressed, and see that they get justice.”
This is the heart of Shared Hope’s Faith Initiative, empowering and mobilizing people and communities of faith to fight trafficking and protect children across the nation.
We know that God has equipped us for this battle. And while we fight for justice and restore lives, we can never forget the pure power of God’s Word and the strength of fervent prayer.
January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month … and we’ll end the month in the strongest way possible: in prayer.
We would love for you to join us. Shared Hope’s National Day of Prayer Virtual Gathering is January 31. Due to overwhelming interest, our initial 4 p.m. ET event has filled up, so we have opened up a second, earlier prayer event at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT, also on January 31.
Together, we will pray for the broken world around us, for survivors of this crime, and for children like Ben, who have suffered through child sex trafficking.
Thank you!
