Help speak truth into our culture! ProLife Movement Starts Strong in 2021 Great strides are being made in the pro-life movement in this new year. Missouri appears to be the first state in America without an abortion facility. Other states are heading in that direction, and we can work and pray to ensure that Michigan follows Missouri's example. Good news has also from the Kansas Senate Judiciary Committee, who approved a pro-life constitutional amendment on Tuesday that would make it clear there is no right to abortion in Kansas. The Value Them Both Amendment (HCR 5003) would add language to the the Kansas Constitution stating that there is no right to an abortion or taxpayer-funded abortion. Finally, this Friday has been proclaimed National Sanctity of Human Life Day. January 22, 2021 marks the 48th Anniversary of Roe V. Wade, but in one of his final acts in office, President Trump declared the day to be a national time of mourning those lost to abortion and calls on citizens to advocate for pro-life policies. Religious Liberty Heads to Supreme Court In the case of Fulton v. the City of Philadelphia, where the city has banned Catholic Christian parents from opening their homes to foster children, the Supreme Court is poised to make a landmark ruling on the First Amendment. "It is not merely true that Philadelphia wishes to squelch free religious practice — it is also clear that the city is far more anxious to punish the free exercise of religion than it is to serve the city’s most vulnerable children. The shocking part is that it was necessary to go all the way to the Supreme Court to ask for the obvious: that the city of Philadelphia should both respect different religious beliefs, and put the needs of children first." CTV is making the conscious choice to maintain our presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram because we are called to be light in a world of darkness. We have launched two new social media series to help pepper the conversation with Biblical truth. Our “Wednesday Wisdom” series teaches Biblical precepts for public policy and engaged citizenry and specifically calls believers to use their voice to raise up a godly standard. We have also started “First Principle Fridays” to remind Americans of the foundational precepts that built our nation. Please help us remind Americans of the truth and values found in Scripture by liking, sharing, and retweeting this meaningful content.
