** Dear John
------------------------------------------------------------
We believe that the unprecedented events of 2020 will prove to be a landmark in securing stronger protection for the environment this year. In particular, two major environmental conferences in 2021 offer huge opportunities to influence best practice worldwide; the Convention on Biological Diversity hosted by China and the Climate Summit/COP 26 hosted in Glasgow by the UK Government.
This year, your donations will continue to support our global campaigning activities, including:
* engaging with the UK government to make tackling deforestation, climate change and plastic pollution global priorities
* engaging with governments worldwide to highlight the role which habitat loss and the wildlife trade play in causing the spread of zoonotic viruses.
Thanks to the support of people like you, we’ve done a lot in 2020 ([link removed]) . We’ve been able to keep doing critical work to mitigate climate change, combat wildlife crime, protect marine life and fight deforestation.
What you helped us achieve in 2020 ([link removed])
But we need to do more - and we can’t do it without you. With immense gratitude for your continuing support.
