We made it happen, John. Madam Vice President Kamala Harris. Say it out loud. Savor it. When barely one hundred years ago, suffragists were marching to the Capitol to fight for a woman’s right to vote — we just elected Oakland’s pride and joy, our nation’s first Black, South-Asian, woman Vice President.  That’s some history-making stuff. While it’s important to celebrate our victories, it’s equally important to remember that the work continues.
