Yesterday beautifully commemorated our past four years of fighting, marching, running for office, voting, donating, volunteering, and organizing for a better future. The dark chapter that was the Trump Administration is done, and President Biden and Vice President Harris have been sworn in to begin a new, more hopeful chapter.
Now, with a Democratic-majority House and Senate ready to get to work, we must build on our momentum and start to make transformative changes for the American people.

Trump getting elected was one of the reasons why I—and so many others—decided to run for office. But getting him out of the White House was never the “end game.”
We now need to restore people’s trust in our government and clean up the corruption in our system that helped make Trump president in the first place.
We need to listen to scientists and safely solve this pandemic that has taken over 400,000 lives.
We need to pass meaningful COVID-19 relief and get our economy back on track for long-term recovery.
We need to make quality healthcare available to everyone in our country.
We need to fix the childcare crisis that working families struggled with well before the pandemic.
We need to take immediate action to save our planet.
We need to loosen the grip that greedy corporations have over lawmakers and make our government work for working families.
And the list goes on, John.
