Friend – yesterday was an incredible day. A historic, glass-ceiling-shattering day – and a big stride toward a better, more hopeful, more inclusive future for all of America.

I put out this call for people to become Day One Members because we need to be ready, from Day One, to defend our Democratic House majority. Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight says Republicans are in a strong position to take back the House, and with that caucus growing more extreme and anti-democratic by the day, that should worry us all.
