The last week has been a whirlwind of breaking news.

First, Republican lawmakers refused to walk through metal detectors just days after the deadly riot at the Capitol. They claimed it was a political stunt while also boasting about wanting to bring guns on the House floor.

Then, we shined a light on how the NRA had been planting the seeds of armed insurrection for decades all in order to sell more guns. There's a lot of blame to go around for the attack on the Capitol, and a good amount of it falls squarely in the lap of the NRA.

And then that same day, the NRA filed for bankruptcy in order to escape litigation in New York by fleeing to Texas.

It's clear to us that the NRA isn't going away and that there is still vocal opposition to our efforts to pass safer gun laws in Congress. But with your help, we can continue to grow this organization that will have the power to stand up to and outlast the NRA.
