Yesterday, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were sworn in as President and Vice President of the United States. The team here at VoteVets is overjoyed to see Donald Trump finally removed from the White House and real leaders taking over.

But we’re not letting the celebrations distract us from the fights ahead. We are getting immediately to work on issues like:

Repealing the incredibly overused post-9/11 Authorization of Military Force.
Reforming our VA system to make accessing their earned benefits easier and faster for veterans.
Overturning Trump’s offensive ban on transgender troops serving in our military.

We fought so hard this past year and to show for it, we have a Democratically controlled White House, House of Representatives and now the Senate.

Whereas under the Trump administration we were working as hard as we could just to avoid moving BACKWARDS on veterans and military issues, we are now in a position where we could actually move FORWARD.
