Quick fact check: Water and air quality under Donald Trump is actually getting worse after YEARS of improvement because of the extreme policies promoted by the Trump administration.

But Trump went beyond merely lying at the international G-20 summit to defend his obstruction on climate change -- He denied basic scientific principles himself.

Trump tried to justify continuing to invest in super-polluting coal plants and offshore drilling platforms instead of renewable energy sources by saying that wind power "doesn't work" when... 'the wind turns off.'

He said investments in solar aren't profitable (which they are!) because ... 'sometimes it's cloudy.'

That isn't how renewable energy works at all, but that's besides the point. Trump is making the United States an international pariah on climate change and wasting what little time we have to address the climate crisis with these scientifically illiterate remarks.
