Dear John,

We recently released our Alzheimer's
Association Annual Report, and I want to make sure you have the chance
to review it and see the remarkable impact friends like you make
possible.

This past year has been a difficult
one. We've all felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and those
living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias in long-term care
settings have been particularly hard hit. I hope you share my pride in
how the Association has stood by the more than 5 million people living
with Alzheimer's in the United States and their 16 million caregivers
in the face of unprecedented challenges. I also hope you share my
pride in the vital progress we continue to make toward our vision of a
world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters
like you, we were able to:

* Advance research, including the funding of more than $208
million in 590 active best-of-field projects in 31 countries on
six continents.
* Motivate policymakers to act on behalf of families facing
dementia and advocate for significant increases in federal
funding for dementia research, including a $350 million increase
at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
* Issue new guidance to help deliver high-quality care for people
living with dementia in long-term care settings during the
pandemic, in collaboration with 34 long-term care and
community-based care providers and affiliated associations.
* Transition our Alzheimer's Association 24/7 Helpline
(800.272.3900) staff to work remotely without interrupting
service and also transition our support groups, education
programs and care consultations to a virtual format.

I encourage you to learn more about
all of these achievements and so many more by reading our Alzheimer's
Association Annual Report. The impact of support from friends like you
is visible on every page.

With your support, we've achieved so
much and furthered our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and
all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving
risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and
support. Thank you very much for helping to make all this possible.

In closing, I offer my warmest wishes
for the year ahead.

Sincerely,

Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
