Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was sworn in Wednesday as the 46th president of the United States, pledging to confront an array of convulsing challenges and bring healing and unity to a deeply fractured nation.
Moments before, Kamala D. Harris took her oath of office, making her the country’s first female vice president, and also the first Black American and first person of Asian heritage to hold the nation’s second-highest office. She had placed her hand on twin Bibles, one from a family friend and the second belonging to Thurgood Marshall, the first African American justice of the Supreme Court.

Lawsuit filed over Rep. Lauren Boebert's blocking constituent on Twitter

A former state lawmaker filed a lawsuit Sunday against U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colorado, over her blocking her on Twitter, according to court documents.
Former state Rep. Bri Buentello was the plaintiff in the lawsuit and preliminary injunction request, asking a judge to require Boebert to unblock her on the social media platform. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

Colorado lawmaker suggests foreign intelligence could stop Biden's inauguration

A Republican state representative from Fremont County, Colo., who was present in Washington, D.C. during this month’s insurrection, claimed that foreign intelligence agencies may be able to keep Joe Biden from becoming president on Wednesday.
Rep. Ron Hanks sent out a fundraising email Tuesday afternoon suggesting the attack at the U.S. Capitol was the work of Antifa in disguise and said the mob did not appear to include supporters of President Donald Trump.
