Dear Friend,
It’s official: Together, we ended the Muslim Ban!
After four years of tireless community-led advocacy, President Biden just rescinded the Muslim Ban. Today marks a new beginning for countless American families who have suffered the unmeasurable pain of being separated from their loved ones.

Personally, I’m celebrating the millions of American families that will be reunited — families like that of Soumiha Alwahibi, whose mother is trapped in Yemen as she suffers from severe arthritis.
I’m celebrating the thousands of medical professionals who can now come to the United States and help save lives — individuals like Dr. Moshkelgosha, who is separated from his wife.
I’m celebrating the millions of Americans who flooded airports, filled the streets, and advocated in Congress — in a nationwide groundswell of solidarity with American Muslims.
I’m celebrating all of my colleagues in the NO BAN Act Coalition and at Muslim Advocates who have worked around the clock — filing seven lawsuits, speaking over 100 times with members of Congress and their staff, and helping 4.5 million people understand their rights. Here’s a timeline [[link removed]] of all the work that went into this victory.
And I'm celebrating the inclusion of the NO BAN Act in President Biden's day one immigration bill, the U.S. Citizenship Act. Passing this bill will ensure that no future president can ban people because of their religion or nationality.
How are you celebrating this historic moment?
Tomorrow, we will get back to work. The vestiges of the ban will take a long time to disentangle. But today, thanks to your ongoing support, we can celebrate having won one of the major civil rights battles of our time.
