Let's End the Death Penalty in Virginia!

Yesterday in Richmond, with bipartisan support, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 10-4 to advance a bill to end the death penalty in Virginia. The bill is moving quickly, and senators could start debating it on the floor before the end of the week.

Please contact your lawmakers and tell them to say YES to repeal: [link removed]

The death penalty has failed Virginia. It is costly, is not applied fairly, fails to prevent violence, and doesn't provide justice or healing. EJUSA is working with our partners on the ground to amplify these messages, but we need you too!

Lawmakers need to hear about how important this is to you. Ending the death penalty this year will depend on the strong voices of Virginians. Please act now to make your voice heard.

Let's show our lawmakers that Virginians want the death penalty ended in 2021!
